Celebrity News: Former Chicago Cubs Pitcher Kerry Wood Finds Body

Not too often do we hear of celebrities finding dead bodies, but allegedly, the former pitcher for the Cubs found one.   Kerry Wood was paddling on a boat when he spotted the body in Belmont Harbor.  Immediately, he called police and reported it.Although, we know it must have been a very scary experience, at least police was able to discover whoever the man was, thanks to Wood. According to Bleacherreport.com, the identity of the man has not been released to the press at this time. However, the victim is described in the Tribune story as a 40-year-old man who had gone missing from a local nursing home in June. Police were able to identify him thanks to a tag from the nursing home on the victim's arm. This is very sad, may the poor man rest in peace.  God bless Kerry Wood.Read more articles like this one @AToast2Wealth.comFormer Cubs Pitcher Kerry Wood Reportedly Finds Body in Belmont HarborBy Tyler Conway (Featured Columnist) Former Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood reportedly found the body of a dead man while paddle boarding in the city's Belmont Harbor on Monday.According to a report by Rosemary Regina Sobol of the Chicago Tribune, Wood made the discovery at...Read full article, here.Source and Photo: Bleacherreport.com

Lou Piniella was probably sipping a cocktail somewhere Saturday night after watching baseball. Mike Keenan likely was already preparing for his new job as coach of the KHL's Metallurg Magnitogorsk in Russia. Robin Ventura was keeping an even keel a...

CINCINNATI — Much to the chagrin of Dusty Baker, Cubs pitcher Travis Wood was shaking hands and hugging some of his former Reds teammates a couple of hours before Saturday's game at Great American Ball Park. Though he likes Wood, the Reds...

Rios keeps level-headed attitude during streak

When it comes to sustaining hitting streaks, Robin Ventura has been there, done that. The Sox manager had an NCAA-record 58-game hitting streak at Oklahoma State. Alex Rios entered Saturday night's 2-1 victory over the Marlins with an 18-game...

Cubs unpleasant present makes better future forever distant

CINCINNATI — No one really is surprised the Cubs are where they are two months into the season, and it appears evident what's going to happen next. In Year 2 of the rebuild, the only questions remaining are who will be gone before August and how...

Francona has Indians headed in right direction

Zach McAllister didn't appear out of nowhere for the Indians last September at U.S. Cellular Field. He was making his 25th big-league start, but he looked too good to have a 4.56 ERA. Turns out the six strong innings McAllister threw against the White...
